Wilfred was the ultimate outdoors man, hunting guide and outfitter who also had a passion for fishing. He introduced many people from around the world to the rugged beauty of the Newfoundland outdoors. He was a kind and giving person who loved to help others and donated frequently to his church and many charitable organizations. He helped people in need in any way he could. Indoors he enjoyed reading, discussing politics and playing cards. He was a very competitive card player and loved to socialize with friends in a game of crib or 120's
