It is with great sadness that the family of the late Wilfred Stanley Lomond announces his passing at Western Memorial Hospital on Sunday June 11, 2017 at the age of 65 years. Wilfred was the son of the late Stanley and Lillian Lomond. He was also predeceased by his baby sister Cora, sisters Shirley Osmond and Jane Lillington, brothers Calvin Lomond and Samuel Lomond, brothers-in-law Harold Osmond, Thomas Carter, Ralph Osmond, mother and father in law Elizabeth and Lionel Foote, many deceased aunts and uncles. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his devoted wife Elaine (nee Foote), children; Denise (Chris) Pittman, Gregory Carter, grandchildren Zachary and Katelyn Pittman and Andrew Carter. He will also be sadly missed by his sisters in law; Christine (Cecil) Tipple, Dianne (Bruce) Leboubon, Beverly (Glenn) Caines. Brothers in law; Gordon (Cynthia) Foote and Peter (Cindy) Foote. He will forever remain in the hearts of his brothers and sisters Andrew (Debbie) Lomond, Julia Carter (Alex), Catherine Osmond (Fred) and Susie (Jerry) Osmond all of Port aux Basques, brother-in-law George Lillington, sisters-in-law Liz Lomond Port aux Basques, aunts Pearl Lomond, Mary Noseworthy and Susie Matthews of Port aux Basques, nieces, nephews and lifelong friend Marie Dicks, plus a large circle of special buddy friends. In keeping with Wilfred's wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation taking place on Friday, June 16 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm from East Haven Funeral Home. Funeral service taking place on Saturday, June 17 at 2 pm from Faith Pentecostal Tabernacle, Grand Bay with Pastor Tyrone Ball officiating. Interment taking place at St. James Anglican Cemetery, Barachois Hill. Flowers graciously accepted or donations can be made to the charity of one's choice.
