Wayne Leamon, affectionately known as Spot, was born in Channel, Port aux Basques, NL on July 31st, 1950. He passed away peacefully at the Charles L. LeGrow Health Care Centre on February 4th, 2024.

Wayne is survived by his loving wife Joanne; sons Melvin and Richard Leamon; daughter Vicky Osmond; son Carl (Bernice) Osmond; brother Rick (Jocelyn); sisters, Judy, Rita (Fred), and Debbie (Trent); grandchildren, Nicolas, Brandon, Alexa and Hunter, as well as his pride and joy Molly, his beautiful yorkie. He will also be missed by his Brothers in Law; Charlie (Della), Willie (Beatrice), Danny (Karen), Gary (Kathy), Don (Yvonne), Arch (Janice), Perry (Rhonda), and Sisters in Law, Pauline (Rick) and Amanda (Paul), plus a very large circle of family and friends. Wayne's presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He was predeceased by his parents, William and Anne Leamon; father in-law, John Gillam and brother in-law, Bruce Gillam.

Throughout his life, Wayne worked with Canadian National Railways in both Port aux Basques and Moncton until his retirement in 2003. After retiring, he returned to Newfoundland where he and Joanne built a home in St. Andrew's.

Those who were fortunate enough to know Wayne can attest to his larger-than-life personality. He had a way of lighting up a room when he walked in. His friends and family cherished the moments they shared with him because of this very reason - He was always ready for a laugh and he truly loved making people happy.

One of Wayne's greatest passions was riding his motorcycle. He was happiest when he was cruising down open roads with Joanne on the back.

A viewing will be held on Tuesday, February 6th from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM at East Haven Funeral Home, 57 Grand Bay Road, Port aux Basques, NL, in keeping with Wayne's wishes, cremation will follow.

In honour of Wayne's memory a celebration of life and graveside service will be held on July 31st, 2024 which would have been Wayne's birthday.

The loss of Wayne has left an unfillable void within those who loved him dearly but we take solace knowing that memories of Wayne will live forever in our hearts.

The family would like to offer their heartfelt thanks to Dr. Dave Thomas and the staff of Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre.
