It is with great sadness that the family of the late Wallace Brake announces his peaceful passing on Wednesday January 1, 2020, at Western Memorial Regional Hospital in his 80th year. Leaving to mourn with many fond and loving memories his children: Joy of Halifax, NS; Stephen (Carol Ann) of Halifax, NS; Sharon (Jimmy) of Vancouver, BC; Wallie (Kaye) of South Branch, NL; Darlene (Oliver) of Severna Park, MD; Laura (Arjan) of St Catherine's, PE. Wallace will forever remain in the hearts of his grandchildren: Sarah, Alexis, Christopher, Justin, Michael, Emma, Jack, Courtney, Matthew, Andreas, Niklas, Patch, and John.

He will also be sadly missed by his sisters and brothers: Imelda McArthur, Zita Muise (Norman), Ella Gale (Frank), Benny Brake (Helen), Joyce Brake (Lew),Vince Brake (Bev), Stella Pitcher (Randy), Marian Brake, and Deanna Brake (Derin); his special friend and step-mother, Sissy; and, a large circle of nieces, nephews and many friends. Wallace was predeceased by his parents, William and Elsie (nee MacIsaac) Brake, his wife Marvella, sisters: Bernadette Bennett and Irene Brake.

The family will be receiving relatives and friends for a wake service and visitation on Sunday from 7-9 pm at St. Sylvester's RC Church in South Branch, from where the mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday, January 6 at 11 am, officiated by Father Lee Lainey. Interment will follow at St. Sylvester's RC Cemetery. Donations in memory of Wallace can be made to the South Branch Social Center.
