Veronica
Roberts
Jul 11, 1950 — Aug 20, 2026
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Veronica Roberts (nee Cormier) announces her passing at the age of 76 years.
Veronica was predeceased by her father, Gerald Comier; mother, Elizabeth McNeil; stepfather, James McNeil; brothers, Felix Anderson and Roddy McDonald. Leaving to mourn with precious memories her loving husband of 57 years, Thomas Roberts.
She will be deeply missed by her children: Roberta (Eugene), Eugene Roberts, and Vanessa (Derwin) Gallant. Veronica also leaves to mourn with many fond and precious memories her pride and joy, her grandchildren: Gina Seaward, Nicholas (Hillary) Hodder, Kyle Hodder, Dustin Osmond, Dillin Osmond, Mikhail, Malik, Madison Headley, and Lawrence Gallant, as well as 11 cherished great-grandchildren.
She will also be fondly remembered by their brothers and sisters: Gerry (Helen) Comier, Martin (Violet) Comier, Florence McIsaac, Carmel Comier, and Dorothy MacLean. Veronica is also survived by a large circle of nieces & nephews.
Veronica was a dedicated professional and a vibrant personality who balanced a life of public service with deep personal joys. As a passionate union representative and the president of the FFAW, alongside her meaningful career in homecare, she committed herself entirely to supporting her community and colleagues. Outside of work, Veronica was known for her quick wit, always ready to crack a joke or pull a lighthearted prank to make people smile. In her quieter moments, she found relaxation in solving puzzles and playing a competitive game of cards. Home was her sanctuary, where she shared a completely unique bond with her cat, Tootsie—a notoriously selective pet who gave her affection exclusively to Veronica. Above all, her family was the center of her world, and her grandkids remained her greatest joy in life.
