It is with heavy hearts and deep sorrow that we share the passing of Valerie Lomond of Port aux Basques, NL on February 2, 2025 at the age of 71 years. Valerie will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 54 years, Arthur. Her children: daughter Tammy (Barry Organ) and son Jamie (Deirdre). Her four precious grandchildren: Emily, Dylan, Gracie and Drew. Brothers: Stanley Seaward (Marjorie), Garfield Seaward (Barbara), Douglas Seaward (Lorraine), Melvin Seaward (Janice) and Lorne Seaward (Mary Ellen). Brothers and sisters in law: Jim Lomond, Almon Lomond, Howard Lomond (Rita), Kevin Lomond (Wanda), Melva Osmond (Bert) and Sheila Bird; as well as relatives and many, many friends.

Valerie was a dedicated volunteer at the Salvation Army Church for many years. She enjoyed working at the Thrift Store, where she loved to chat with everyone who came in. Valerie always had a big smile on her face and made time to listen to others. She believed that everything and everyone around her was 'beautiful.' Her warm spirit and kindness brought joy to everyone she met, making her a cherished part of the community.

Family and friends are welcome to visit on Wednesday, February 5, 2025 from 2 -7 PM at East Haven Funeral Home in Port aux Basques, NL. A Celebration of Valerie's Life will take place on Thursday, February 6, 2025 at 2 PM at The Salvation Army Church, Port aux Basques, NL officiated by Dave Harvey. In Keeping with Valerie's wishes cremation will follow, and internment will take place at a later date. Donations in Valerie's memory may be made to the Salvation Army Church in Port aux Basques, NL
