It is with great sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Shawn Chislett, on May 19, 2025, at the age of 52. Born on July 31, 1972, Son of Jane Fancy, Stepfather, Terry; Father, Eli Chislett and Stepmother, Tracy.

Shawn is survived by his mother, Jane Fancy; Stepfather, Terry; Father, Eli Chislett and Stepmother, Tracy; 2 sons and 2 grandsons; stepbrother Mark (Robin) Thea and Alex. Special friend Ward Kinslow; plus a large circle of Aunts, Uncles and Cousins; especially his cousin Glenda whom he called daily.

Shawn was predeceased by his grandparents Albert and Florence Francis, Eli and Mary Chislett; uncles, Willis, Rod, and John; aunt, Mary.

Shawn was a real Jokester he could make anyone laugh with his pranks. He liked his visits to Newfoundland and he enjoyed family gatherings and video games.

In keeping with Shawn's wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation will take place on Saturday May 31, 2025 from 2-4 PM at East haven Funeral Home Inc, 57 Grand Bay Road. Port aux Basques. Family prayers to follow. Donations in Shawn's memory can be made to the family.

My heart has been left broken

since the day you had to go

and the memories I treasure dearly

for you may be up in heaven now

If only I could have the chance

to see your face once more

or to hear your voice one final time
