Sarah Eleta
Macisaac
Jun 7, 1925 — Mar 31, 2025
Grand Falls
Sarah Eleta (Warren) MacIsaac, 99.81 years old, better known as Sadie, passed away peacefully with Joan by her side on March 31, 2025, at Carmelite House Grand Falls NL.
Born June 7, 1925, in Gambo NL, daughter of Ben and Susan Warren. She grew up in Glenwood NL and started working at a young age, helping families with new babies, children, and housekeeping. She also worked at Gleneagles, serving food to the military, during WW2 and logging men. There she met, married and moved to Codroy Valley with Late Dan MacIsaac. They were married for 37 years when Dan passed but 82 years in her heart!
She and Dan had 5 children of their own and always had room in their house and hearts to take in any others when the need arose.
Sadie loved any kind of get togethers with family and friends. She was willing to go anywhere and do anything. She enjoyed a good card game that filled many late nights, with huge chuckles and giggles. She loved a hot cup of tea in a bone china mug to go with her cigarette and a piece of bread. Sadie was amazing at sewing, knitting, crocheting, basically every craft she came across. She was famous in O'Regans for making blood pudding and made the absolute best homemade soup.
She loved having fun and she was fun!
She is survived by her four daughters and one son, Kay (Late Eugene) MacIsaac, Richard (Arlene) MacIsaac, Joan (Art) Pittman, Rita (Late Gerald) Jacobs, and Danette (Shawn) Ryan, her 13 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, and many beloved nieces and nephews.
No doubt, she is now enjoying great conversation and good laughs, asking, "How's your crowd? Do I look like I just fell out of the rag bag? Is my hair a birch broom in fits?" Having some tea ~ and maybe a little gin! She is raising her glass (or a really good milkshake) to Joan who she depended on for everything and making a cheer in hopes everyone has a "Joan" in their life!
Huge thank you to the caregivers at the Valley Vista and Carmelite House who gave Sadie such love and compassion.
At the families request in lieu of flowers, pour a cup of tea and enjoy your Sadie memories and moments. And as she would say…
All The Best!
A celebration of life will be done privately at a later date.
