It is with great sadness that the family of the late Samuel Lomond announces his passing at the Western Memorial Hospital on February 9, 2015 at the age of 64 years. He was the son of the late Stanley and Dorcas Lomond. He was also predeceased by his father-in-law Lewis Savery, baby sister Cora, sisters Shirley Osmond and Jane Lillington, brothers-in-law Harold Osmond, Thomas Carter, Ralph Osmond, and many deceased aunts and uncles. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Liz of 43 years, sons Robert (Dale) Lomond Upper Ferry and Corey Lomond Port aux Basques, two special grandchildren Blake & Devon Lomond, brothers and sisters Andrew (Debbie) Lomond, Calvin Lomond, Wilfred (Elaine) Lomond, Julia Carter, Catherine (Fred) Osmond and Susie (Jerry) Osmond all of Port aux Basques, mother-in-law Winnie Savery Port aux Basques, brothers-in-law Ed (Joanne) Savery Ellershouse NS and George Lillington St. John's, sister-in-law Elaine (Tim) Pike Port aux Basques, aunts Pearl Lomond, Mary Noseworthy and Susie Matthews of Port aux Basques, plus a large circle of friends, nieces and nephews. Visitation took place on Wednesday February 11 from 2-10 pm from East Haven Funeral Home. Funeral service took place on Thursday, February 12 at 2:00 pm from St. Paul's Anglican Church, Grand Bay with Rev. Stephen Maki officiating. Interment to follow at St. James Anglican Cemetery. Flowers accepted or donations may be made to the Janeway Children's Hospital Foundation or a charity of ones choice.
