It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of the late Roy Spicer Jr. a nnounces his sudden passing at the Dr. Charles L LeGrow Health Centre in Port aux Basques, NL on Friday, June 15 ^th , 2018 at the age of 64 years. Born in Port aux Basques , NL, Roy was the son of the late Henry and Cassie Spicer (nee Skinner). He was also predeceased by his brothers Reuben, Wilfred, Ross, Clifford, Donald; father and mother-in-law Cyril and Emma Jane Keeping (nee Seymour); brothers-in-law Ronnie Keeping and Henry Keeping.

He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife of 37 years Maxine (nee Keeping); daughters Robin (Tyler Cook) Spicer of Bradford, Ont, Rebecca (Randy Parsons) Spicer of Great Codroy, NL, Jeanetta (Shawn) Cairns of Angus, Ont; step-daughter Vanessa (James Currie) Keeping of Port aux Basques, NL; grandchildren Hayden, Miranda, Thyrone, Madison, Chole, Ethan; brothers Bill (Eva Anderson) Spicer, Barry (Elizabeth) Spicer, Roland (Leah) Spicer, Pierce Spicer all of Diamond Cove, NL, Winston (Darlene) Spicer of Debert, NS, Scott (Darlene) Spicer of Glace Bay, NS; sisters Maud (John) Dobbin of Diamond Cove, NL, Minnie (Rodney) Francis of McDougalls Gulch, NL; brothers-in-law Maxwell (Linda) Keeping, Raymond Keeping, Gerald (Barbara Brown) Keeping all of Bradford, Ont, George (Debbie Anderson) Keeping of Burnt Islands, NL; sisters-in-law Edith (Isreal) Kinslow of Isle aux Morts, NL, Shelia Keeping, Alice (Baine Osmond) Keeping, Nina Spicer all of Port aux Basques, NL and Verna Spicer of Cormack , NL plus a large extended family of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Monday, June 18 ^th from 2-4 and 7-9 pm and continuing on Tuesday, June 19 ^th from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at St. Micheal's And All Angel's Anglican Church in Rose Blanche, NL from where the funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 20 ^th at 11 am officiated by Rev. Jeffrey Petten with interment to follow at Hillside Haven Cemetery, Isle aux Morts Road. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family.
