It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Rosaline O'Quinn (nee Gallant), on the 9th of June 2024, at the age of 80 years, at her home in South Branch, NL.

Rose (Rosie), came from a large family and it was instilled in her at a very young age what was needed, as she raised 8 children of her own. The lessons she learned in life, she passed on to her kids, and they in turn did the same. She did all of this with very little amenities at her disposal. Rosie was a very strong and dependable wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was well known in the community for her kind and giving nature, her homemade bread, Sunday dinners and her quilt making. She always put others before herself, without hesitation. She has touched everyone in the community of South Branch in one way or another and will be truly missed!

Rose leaves behind her loving husband of 63 years, Alex, her children; Kevin (Cathy), Kenneth (Rhonda), Alex (Darlene), Deon (Connie), Angie (Ivan), Carmy, Cordelia (Danny) and Carmelia, her 10 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren as well as all her siblings and extensive extended family and friends.

She is predeceased by; her parents, Loyola and Dorothy Gallant (nee Brake), daughter in law Deidre O'Quinn (nee Brake), grandson Chad O'Quinn, brother Lawrence, and sisters; Clara, Tina and Maryann

Family and friends are welcomed to visit on Wednesday June 12th, 2-4 PM at St. Sylvester Church in South Branch, NL. The funeral will take place on Friday June 14th, 2024 at 11 AM, officiated by Father Prakash. Internment to follow at a later date. Flowers are graciously accepted or donations in Rosie's memory can be made to a charity of ones choice.
