Obituary

Robert Jerome (Bob) O’Quinn, at the age of 60 passed away at the New Western Memorial Hospital, Corner Brook, NL, surrounded by family on May 13th 2026. Left with many-loving memories his wife of 36 years Cindy (Butt), daughters Krista (Justin) and Tiffany (Brandon), honorary daughter Caitlyn (Shane) and sisters Michelle and Viola (Tom). Adored by-his grandchildren Ben, Wyatt, Malakai, and Jade, nieces Courtney and Kyla and nephew-JJ, as well as many cousins and extended family members.

Predeceased by his parents Jerome and Linda (nee St. Croix), Maternal Grandparents Margaret (nee MacArthur) and Joseph St. Croix, paternal Grandparents Elizabeth (nee Burns) and William-O'Quinn, and his parents-in-law Georgina (nee Legge) and Lindberg Butt.

Bob was an avid outdoorsman who landed his dream job as a Wildlife Officer-in 2003. There was-never a position Bob was more suited for; on the country, in the woods and along river is where he felt at home. - He loved to see the first snow fall knowing he could soon head off on the country with nothing but him and the white world around. -There was nothing Bob enjoyed more than-heading off on the skidoo or the side-by-side with his trusted sidekick Cindy (and molasses-buns-to have with his thermos of tea. -His eyes showed pure joy and prided when his grandsons-were able to share his-love for hunting and fishing: -The trips to Alberta-hunting and pike fishing with Ben and Wyatt bought great joy knowing they were sharing in his passion. His little adventures with Malakai always resulted in stories and big belly laughs as they shared "man time", away from the women in the house. He was always just a phone call away for Krista and Tiffany.......

Bob had a knack for the finesse activities. His steady hands and eyes allowed him to out perform-many, whether it was with a bow and arrow in his hands, standing in front of a dartboard, at a pool table, or when he-finally picked up a set of golf clubs and caught on so quick it-was as if he had played his whole life, His skill at woodwork and building came natural-to him as he would always be-working-on something around the house or in his shop.

Bobby built a rock garden in front of the house for Cindy; if you would like to send live plants to add to his garden that would be a sweet-way for Cindy to know how much Bob was loved.
