It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we the family of the late Rita White (nee Ingram) announces her sudden passing on Monday June 10, 2019 at Dr. Charles L Legrow Health Center at the age of 90 years. Born in Hunt's Island NL, Rita was the daughter of the late George and Annie Maude Ingram (nee Strickland), she was also predeceased by her husband Leonard White in 2008, her son Kevin, son in law John Lawrence, grandson Jamie White, sisters, Elizabeth Hann, Rachel Ingram, brothers Garfield Ingram and Ralph Ingram, father and mother in law Charles and Hannah White, sisters and brothers in law; Viola Butler, Patricia Gillam, Wilson White, Joe White and Chesley White. Leaving to mourn with many fond and loving memories are her only daughter Anne White (Dan Clarke) of Port aux Basques, sons Eric (Judy) White, Dave (Vivian) White all of Bridgewater NS, Brian (Rose) White of Dryden Ontario. A proud grandmother and great grandmother she will forever remain in the hearts of her grandchildren; Baine, Tamara, Danica, Jason and Nicholas. Great grandchildren; Brandon, Jaime Lynne, Knox, Eli, Cam and Lyla. Special friend Ernest Short, brothers and sisters in law; Ron (Elizabeth) White, Harold (Donna) White all of Ontario, Vera Fogal of California USA, Mary (Frank) Wallace of Ontario and a large circle of nieces, nephews and many friends. The family will be receiving friends at East Haven Funeral Home on Tuesday June 11 from 7-9 pm and on Wednesday June 12 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral services taking place on Thursday June 13, 11 am at St. James Anglican Church, Channel officiated by Deacons Jane Allen and Kay Osmond. Interment will follow at St. James Anglican Cemetery, Barachois Hill. Flowers graciously accepted or donations in memory of Rita can be made to St. James Anglican Cemetery Fund.
