In such a short time our hearts are once again broken and our lives forever changed as our beloved daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend Rita Parsons passed away peacefully and went to be with her beloved son Derrick on Wednesday January 22, at Dr. Charles L Legrow Health Center at the age of 55 years.

Rita will be sadly missed and ever loved by her daughter Joanne Parsons, her granddaughter Sara Marie Carter and her son Jeremy Benoit. She will forever remain in the hearts of her mother Gloria Parsons, sisters; Florence Gale (Leroy), Jackie Parsons (Craig Skeard), Mary Parsons all of Port aux Basques, Shirley Parsons of Ontario, Diane Parsons of Lark Harbor, her partner Dennis Delaney of Corner Brook and a large circle of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and many friends. Rita was predeceased by her precious son Derrick on January 15, 2020, just one week prior to her own passing. She was also predeceased by her father Leo Parsons in 2001, grandparents James and Jessie Parsons, and Nelson and Bessie Anderson.

The family will be receiving relatives and friends at East Haven Funeral Home (Downtown Location) on Friday and Saturday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral services taking place on Sunday January 26, 2 pm at St. James Anglican Church, Channel officiated by Rev. Jane Allen, interment will follow at Hillside Haven Cemetery, Isle aux Morts Road.
