It is with profound sadness that the family of the late Reverend Clayton Alvin Billard announces his peaceful passing at the Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre on November 25, 2023 at the age of 84 years.

Clayton was the son of the late Frederick and Gladys Billard of Port aux Basques. He is also predeceased by his sisters Phyllis, Ruth, Vivian and Margaret and his brothers Ralph, George and Roy.

He leaves to mourn with many precious and happy memories his loving wife of 63 years, Violet and their 3 children, sons Clayton Jr.(Sandra), Robert (Shuk) and daughter Cindy (Steve) Kischak, 3 grandchildren Stefanie, Jeffrey and Sarah and sister Joan (Ron) Lee and brother Robert (Leona) as well as a large circle of extended family, friends and people whose lives he touched through his 50 years of ministry through the Church Army of Canada and as a priest with the Anglican Church of Canada.

Visitation will take place on Monday November 27th from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at East Haven Funeral Home. The funeral service will take place on Tuesday, November 28th at 2 p.m. at St. James the Great Anglican church in Channel-Port aux Basques, officiated by Rev. Jane Allen, cremation will follow. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations in Clayton's memory to the St. James Memorial Fund.
