It is with the upmost sadness that we, the family of our beloved mother, grand mother, sister and aunt;, Priscilla Caines, announce her peaceful passing at the Dr. Charles L LeGrow Health Centre in Port aux Basques, NL on July 8 ^th , 2024 at the age of 65 years.

Born in Isle aux Morts, Priscilla was the daughter of the late Emanuel Caines Sr. And Elizabeth Caines (nee Walters). She was also predeceased by her granddaughter Madison Rumbolt; and father of her children, Bud Peddle.

Leaving to mourn with lots of loving memories, are her children; Tina (Ray), Robert (Megan) and Priscella Peddle; 7 grand kids, Dylan, Brandon, Logan (Venessa), Colton, Caden, Isabella and Laylah-Rae; siblings, Florence Caines, Jane (Max) Strickland, Diane Caines, Seaward Caines, Terry (Jo) Caines, Emanuel (Gladys) Caines, Sarah (Mike) Farrell, Cavell (Monty) Gairn, Darrell (Carole) Caines, Debbie (John) Caines, and Tina (Eric) Bond plus a large circle of nieces and nephews and friends who loved her dearly.

A huge fan of Elvis Presley, Priscilla enjoyed playing darts, doing puzzles, was a real cat lover. Her absolute favourite time of the year was Christmas. Priscilla dearly loved socializing with her deaf community, who will miss her greatly. The family would like to thank her home care workers for the care and compassion given to her over the years, as well as the doctors, nurses and staff at the Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre.

In keeping with Priscilla's wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation will take place on Thursday , July 18 ^th from 11 AM to 12:30 PM at Holy Spirit Anglican Church in Isle aux Morts with funeral service taking place at 2 PM officiated by Rev. Ken Abbott. Internment will follow at Hillside Haven Cemetery. Flowers are graciously accepted. Donations in Priscilla's memory can be made to the family.
