Norman Earl
Seymour
Apr 25, 1948 — Apr 19, 2025
It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of the late Norman Earl Seymour announces his passing at the Health Science Centre on Saturday, April 19th, 2025, at the age of 76 years. Born in Channel-Port aux Basques, NL, Norman was the son of the late William and Jessie (nee Osmond) Seymour. He was also predeceased by his father and mother-in-law Edward and Maria (nee Parsons) Munden; brothers Albert, and Israel (Sarah); sisters Winnie, and Marie (Clyde); brothers and sisters-in-law Johnny, Junior, Martha (Jim), Georgia (Wilson), Jack, and Hilda; nephews Curtis and Jerry; and waiting for him at rainbow bridge with her tail wagging was Jada.
He leaves to mourn with fond and precious memories his loving wife of 49 years Susie (nee Munden) Seymour; daughter Tanya (Mark) and son Kirby; his pride and joy grandchildren Jarrett and Maria; sisters and brothers Hazel, Frances (Art), Wilson, Philip, Marilyn (Wayne); sisters and brothers-in-law Galdys, Milda, Arthur (Diane), Harry (Tammy), Albert (Lena) and Wilfred (Lori); his grand fur babies Charleigh and Quinn; plus a large circle of nieces, nephews and friends, including his Little Margaree family and friends, and his Mouse Island crew..
Norman was a dedicated and hardworking man who spent the early years of his career at Bucamps (He was known as Saw) before happily retiring at Notre Dame. Known for his strong values, Norman epitomized what it meant to be a family man, always prioritizing his children and grandchildren and their well-being. His family was at the heart of everything he did, and he took great pride in supporting their dreams and aspirations. He was an avid member of the 50+ seniors Club, and every day he would take a drive down to the government wharf for a yarn with his buddies. In the fall and the winter you would often find him stopping in to the Dew Drop Inn for a drink with music and friends or spending time at Phil's, or Arts and Fan's. Among his many joys, spending time at his beloved cabin in Little Margaree stood out as his favorite pastime in the summer. There, surrounded by nature, he created cherished memories with family and friends around the campfire, sharing laughter and stories over a cold drink.
The family would like to send a special thank you to Lori and Dwayne for opening their homes and hearts to us and providing such wonderful support while having to be in St. Johns and to Fan and Art for taking care of everything at home while we were away.
