Obituary

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Norman Ingram announce his passing at the age of 81 at Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre, surrounded by his loving family. Norman was the beloved son of the late Samuel and Josie Ingram, and was predeceased by his parents-in-law, James and Lucy Kettle; his brother Mannie (Carrie); sister Edna (Nash) Power, Irene (George) Warren; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Ralph, Art, Max, Owen, and Sam; as well as his cherished buddies Earl, Will, Arch and George. He is also reunited with several nieces, nephews, extended family members, and his beloved fur baby Jersey, who crossed the Rainbow Bridge before him.

Left to mourn with fond and loving memories is his devoted wife of 55 years, Alice. He will be dearly missed by his children: Edna (Rodger), Sammy, and Todd (Ingrid); grandchildren Tiffany (Kurtis), Zackary ,Jordon (Ingrid's son)and great-grandchildren twins Garrett and Finn. Also grieving his loss are his siblings: Rodney (Mary), Hubert (Susanne), and Margaret; and his in-laws: Ivan (Marilyn),Sarah (Wayne), Cora and Rose. His presence will also be deeply missed by his best friends Kenny Jackson and Edward Fudge, along with a large circle of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Norman affectionately known by his coworkers at Marine Atlantic as Poncho. A man whose heart was as big as the outdoors he loved so dearly. A passionate hunter and fisherman, he found peace in the woods and on the water, always eager for the next adventure with his lifelong hunting buddies, Will and Arch—who no doubt are already waiting for him in heaven, ready to set off on another hunt. Norman's happy place was at the cabin here he found peace. He would often sit with the door open and music turn up for everyone to hear. Selfless to his core, Norman was always lending a hand, putting others before himself without hesitation.

His deep bond with his brother Hubert was unshakable—Hubert was his lifeline, his unwavering rock. Their relationship is marked by a profound openness, as he shares everything with his brother.

The family would like to send a sincere thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff at the Dr. Charles L LeGrow Health Centre for the amazing care and compassion given they gave to Norm over the last little while.
