It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of the late Nora Emma Brown announce her peaceful passing on Sunday, November 3rd, 2024, just shy of her 99th birthday, at the Dr. Charles L LeGrow Health Centre in Port aux Basques, NL. Born in Rose Blanche, NL, Nora was the daughter of the late Harriet Clarke. She was also predeceased by her husband Henry; her father and mother-in-law Charles and Suzanne Brown; her grandparents George and Elanor Clarke; sister-in-law Vera Clarke; brothers-in-law George (Alfreda), Wilson, and Gordon Brown, and George Clarke.

Leaving to mourn with many loving memories her only son, Eddison (Hattie); her two granddaughters Cynthia (Jim) Strickland and Roxanne (Jerry) Pittman; and her two great-grandchildren Victoria and Jamie. She will be forever missed and remembered by her sister-in-law, Mary Brown; special friend who was always by her side, Ruth Street; plus a circle of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Nora exemplified independence and had a passion for playing cards and bingo; however, her greatest pride lay in her great-grandchildren. Once a skilled seamstress, she also spent her days knitting and crocheting, often settling into her chair after lunch to engage in her beloved craft.

The family will be forever thankful and appreciative of the doctors, nurses, and staff at the Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre. The care and kindness given to Nora will be forever remembered by her family.

Family and friends are welcome to visit on Wednesday, November 6th, 2024, from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM at St. Michael's and All Angels Church in Rose Blanche NL. The funeral will take place on Thursday, November 7th, 2024, at 2 PM, officiated by Deacon John Billard, with interment following at Hillside Haven Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were in the care of East Haven Funeral Home Inc, 57 Grand Bay Road, Port aux Basques, 695-2300.
