It is with great sadness that the family of the late Montford Wells announce his peaceful passing at Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre in Port aux Basques, NL on Saturday July 8th,2023 at the age of 79 years. Born in Isle aux Morts, NL. Montford was the son of the late Morgan and Lillian Wells (Cossar). He was also predeceased by his brother's, Freeman, Morgan, Wilfred, Earl, Albert Tom, Benjamin and James; sister's, Melissa, Melita and Lillian; brother's in-law, Herman Keeping, James Chaulk, John W. Billard and Jack Chaulk; sister's in-law, Daisy Wells, Susan Wells, Violet Strickland and Marlene Wells.
He also leaves behind to mourn his daughter's, Glenda (Ray) Walker of Annapolis Valley, NS and Tricia (Ed) Klompmaker of Antigonish, NS; grandchildren, Matthew, Jonathan, Anne Marie, Trisha and Anthony; great-grandchildren, Caleb, Wesley, Addy and Nolan; with lots of nephews and nieces.
Special thanks to the nurses, doctors and staff of Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre, Port aux Basques, Western Regional Hospital, Corner Brook and Sir Thomas Roddick, Stephenville. Thanks to Rev. Jane Allen for the reading at the hospital. Thanks to Janice Hatcher and Mary Ellen Seaward; his home care workers. Cremation has taken place. Private internment to follow at a later date.
