It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of the late Mildred Selina Osmond announce her sudden passing on Sunday, July 12, 2026, at the age of 89 years. She leaves to mourn with many fond and loving memories her sons Wayne (Marilyn), Dennis (Darlene), Christopher (Loretta), Jason (Alicia) Osmond; daughter Janice (Melvin) Seaward; grandchildren Terry, Jennifer, Christina, Mackenzie, Carson, Penny, Melissa; and 9 great-grandchildren. She will also be dearly missed by her brother Carl Parsons; sisters and brothers-in-law Dorthy Parsons, Alice Osmond, Gloria Parsons, Gerald Collier, Alec (Nora), Walter (Rachel), Ches (Shirley) and Gerald (Marina) Osmond; plus a large circle of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
The family would like to thank Mildred’s home care workers, Clara, Mary Ellen, and Bonita, for the care and compassion given to her over the years.
Mildred was, above all else, a devoted family woman. Her family was the center of her world, and nothing brought her greater joy than spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, each of whom held a special place in her heart. In her younger years, Mildred was well known for her wonderful home cooking and baking. Her kitchen was often filled with delicious aromas, warm conversations, and the comforting feeling of home. She also treasured the time spent at her cabin in the Barachois, where she found peace, happiness, and countless cherished memories with those she loved. With her warm sense of humour and easygoing nature, she was wonderful company and brought smiles wherever she went. She was also a proud and dedicated member of the LOBA, an organization that held special meaning throughout her life.
