It is with great sadness that the family of the late Melita Courtney announces her passing on Wednesday May 6 at Dr. Charles L Legrow Health Centre at the age of 78 years. Born at Isle aux Morts, Melita was the daughter of the late James and Maggie Wells. She was also predeceased by her aunts; Julia (Ben) Munden and Edna (Silas) LeFrense. She leaves to mourn with many fond and precious memories her children; Della Caines (Allister) Burnt Islands, Lloyd Courtney (Joanne) Thorold ON, Dennis Courtney (Arlene) Burnt Islands, Anne Courtney Thorold ON. Loving grandmother of Joshua (Geneva), Jaimie (Seamus), Candace (Jason), Jane (Christopher), Richard. Proud great grandmother of Grayson, Leiland and Lena. She will also be missed by a large circle of extended family and many friends. In keeping with Melita's wishes cremation has taken place and the internment will take place at a later date.
