It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of the late Melinda (Lynn) White (nee Pearce) announce her peaceful passing at the Palliative Care Unit, Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook, NL on Tuesday, September 5th, 2023 at the age of 76, with her loving family by her side. Melinda was the daughter of the Late Joseph and Maria Pearce (nee Taylor). She was also predeceased by her son; Gary White and great-granddaughter; Layla.

Lynn leaves to mourn with many fond and loving memories, her husband, Edgar White; children, Dorothy (Calvin), Carol Ann, Pauline and Loriann (Kenny); grandchildren, Tanner (Dani), Dillon, Nathan (Cheyanne), Josh, Aiden, April, Justin, Tyson, Leanne, April, Robin, Denise, Jeremy, Lee Anne, Cory and Mallory; great-grandchildren, Aliyah, Chloe, Angel, Dakota-Ann, Bentley and Summer; her siblings, Susan (Bruce) Clarence (Diane) Don, Donna (Al), Bertha (Carl) and Carolann (Art) as well as a very large circle of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The family would like to send a special thanks to the staff of the Crosswinds Seniors Resort, Robinsons NL, as well as the Doctors, Nurses and Staff at the Palliative Care and Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook, NL for the care and compassion given to our mother. Also, to Bertha, Susan and Carolann, who over the last little while, has been our rock and support and always there when needed.

Lynn wore her heart on her sleeve, she would give you the shirt off her back if she knew you needed it. A wonderful mother and grandmother – her grandchildren meant everything to her. She welcomed good company and enjoyed when her friends would come for a chat. She will be missed immensely.

In keeping with Lynn's wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will take place at East Haven Funeral Home Inc. on Friday, September 8th from 2-3:30 PM with prayers to follow officiated by Rev. Jane Allen and Rev. Faye Coffin.
