It is with great sadness and heavy hearts the family of the late Melinda Irene Lomond announces her passing at the Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre in Port aux Basques, NL on Sunday, June 9 ^th , 2019 at the age of 93 years. Born in Grand Bay West-Port aux Basques , NL, Melinda was the daughter of the late Isaac and Ester Lomond. She was also predeceased by her husband Isaac Lomond; son V ictor Lomond; daughter Marilyn Francis; granddaughters Jennifer Lomond, Bonnie Wells; father and mother-in-law Lewelyn and M atilda Lomond; sister Edna Matthews; brothers John Lewis Lomond, Sydney Lomond, George Lomond, Fred (Ruth) Lomond, Harry (Betty) Lomond; brothers-in-law Albert Seymour, Reginald Osmond and Philip Lomond.

Melinda leaves to mourn with fond and precious memories her loving daughters Dorthy (Bob) Wells of West Kelowna, BC, Margie (Stewart Kettle) Gaulton of Port aux Basques, NL, Lavina Russell of Lewisporte, NL, Joyce (Kevin) Kettle of Busby, AB, Rhoda (Derrick) Lomond of Red Deer, AB; sons Ron (Liz) Lomond of Codroy Valley, NL, Jordan (Kay) Lomond of Jordan Falls, NS, Cecil (Carolyn Finn) Lomond of Port aux Basques, NL, Duane (Elizabeth) Lomond of Stephenville, NL, Johnny (Daph) Lomond of Kitchener, ON; daughter-in-law Shirley Lomond of Port aux Basques; son-in-law Claude Francis of Halifax, NS; sisters Gladys Seymour, Rosanna Lomond, Elsie (Reginald) Taylor, Evelyn Osmond; brothers Garf (Sandra) Lomond, Bobby (Margaret) Lomond all of Port aux Basques, NL; brother-in-law Fred Matthews; sister-in-law Angeline Lomond; 23 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren plus a large circle of extended family and friends.

Visitation taking place on Monday, June 10 ^th from 2-4 and 7-9 pm from East Haven Funeral Home Inc. Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, June 11 ^th from St. Paul's Anglican Church, Grand Bay at 11 am officiated by The Rev. Clayton Billard, interment to follow at St. James Anglican Cemetery, Barachois Hill. Flowers are graciously accepted or donations in memory of Melinda can be made to St. Paul's Anglican Church.
