It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of the late Maxine Spicer (nee Keeping). announces her passing at her place of residence in Great Codoy, NL on Monday, January 1st, 2024 at the age of 64 years. Born in Rose Blanche, NL, Maxine was the daughter of the late Cyril and Emma Keeping (nee Seymour), raised by Margaret and Roy Spicer Sr. of Diamond Cove, NL . She was also predeceased by her husband, Roy; father and mother in-law, Henry and Cassie Spicer (nee Skinner); brothers, Clayton, Gerald, ; sister, Edith Kinslow; brothers, Ronnie Keeping and Henry Keeping; sisters in-law, Linda Keeping and Nina Spicer; brothers in-law, Reuben, Wilfred, Ross, Clifford,Donald Spicer, and Bill (Eva Anderson) Spicer.

She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her daughters, Rebecca (Randy Parsons) Spicer of Great Codroy, NL, Robin (Tyler Cook) Spicer of Tiny, Ont, Jeanetta (Shawn) Cairns of Angus, Ont, Vanessa (James Currie) Keeping of Port aux Basques, NL; grandchildren, Miranda, Thyrone, Hayden Madison, Ava, Chole, and Ethan.

She will also be missed by her twin brother, Maxwell Keeping of Bradford Ont; brothers, Raymond Keeping, of Bradford, Ont, and George (Debbie Anderson) Keeping of Burnt Islands, NL; sisters, Shelia Keeping, Alice (Baine Osmond) Keeping, brothers in-law, Barry (Elizabeth) Spicer, Roland (Leah) Spicer, Pierce Spicer all of Diamond Cove, NL, Winston (Darlene) Spicer of Debert, NS, Scott (Darlene) Spicer of Glace Bay, NS, (Isreal) Kinslow of Isle aux Morts, NL; sisters in-law, Barbara Brown, of Port aux Basques, NL, Verna Spicer of Cormack, Maud (John) Dobbin of Diamond Cove, NL, and Minnie Francis of McDougalls Gulch, NL plus a very large circle of extended family, nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 3rd from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at East Haven Funeral Home Inc. 57 Grand Bay Road, Port aux Basques, NL. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 4th at 2 pm officiated by Rev. Jane Allen with interment to follow at Hillside Haven Cemetery, Isle aux Morts Road. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family.
