It is with great sorrow that the family of the late Mary Matilda Oakes (nee Cullins) announces her passing after a brief illness at the Dr. Charles L LeGrow Health Centre in Port aux Basques, NL on Saturday, May 12 ^th , 2018 at the age of 69 years. Born in Florenceville, NB , Mary was the daughter of the late Harold and Alma Cullins (nee Chase). She was also predeceased by her husband Douglas Oakes; three siblings Otis Cullins, Gary Cullins, and Patricia (Fred) Shaw.

Mary leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her three children Lorelei (Eric) Ritchie of Greenfield, N B , Todd Oakes of Northern Alberta, Amy (Brad) Mo o re of Codroy, NL; six grandchildren Cole Ritchie, Drew Ritchie, Kate Ritchie, Jared Moore, Veronica Moore, Corrine Moore ; siblings Dale (Anna) Cullins, Elizabeth (Leverett) McElhinney, Bobby (Judy) Cullins, Terry ( Eva ) Cullins, Penny (Bob) McCormack, Arnold (Marilyn) Cullins, Judy (Tom) Keogh, Doug (Diane) Cullins, Denise (Steve) Fournier plus several nieces and nephews.

In keeping with Mary 's wishes, cremation has taken place. I nterment will take place Mineral Cemetery in N ew B runswick at a later date.
