She will also be dearly missed with heavy hearts by her brothers Russell (Violet), and Danny (Lorna); brother-in-law Wilfred (Diane) Hatcher; plus a wide circle of extended family and friends also join her family in mourning and celebrating a wonderful person.
The family would like to send their sincere thanks to all the Doctors, Nurses and Staff at the Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre, especially those on the LTC unit, for their kindness, and compassionate care.
Martha was a woman defined by kindness, quiet strength, and an unwavering devotion to her family. Her greatest joy was caring for those she loved through gentle guidance, a warm and comforting presence, and the many small acts that made others feel truly seen and supported. She had a remarkable gift for making any place feel like home. Her laughter filled the room, her wisdom brought comfort, and her compassion touched all who had the privilege of knowing her. Through her life, she showed her family the true meaning of love; patient, generous, and unconditional.
In keeping with Martha's wishes, cremation has taken place. Family and friends are welcome to visit on Thursday, April 9th 2026 from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM at St. Michael's and All Angels Church in Rose Blanche NL.
