It is with great sadness that the family of the late Marie Celine MacNeil announces her passing on Monday, July 20 ^th , 2020 at her residence in Port aux Basques at the age of 71 years. Born in Millville, Marie was the daughter of the late David and Rachael Lomond (nee Downey). She was also predeceased by her husband Eugene MacNeil; sisters Margaret Rose, Jane Landry, brother Aloysius Lomond, infant brother Leo Lomond, brother-in-law Doug Srigley and sister-in-law Rita Lomond. Sh e leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her daughter Carmelita (Kevin) Kendall, son Leonard (Annette) MacNeil, brothers and sisters Joseph (Marg) Lomond, Leonard (Audrey) Lomond, Maureen (Carl) Ryan, Michael (Mandy) Lomond, Francis Lomond, Anne Srigley, David (Roberta) Lomond, Joan Hitchmough, brother inlaw Ernie Landry, Margaret's life partner Cecilia Boutilier and two granddaughters Dakota Kendall and Megan MacNeil. In keeping with Marie's wishes cremation has taken place. There will be no formal visitation or memorial service at this time.
