It is with great sadness that the family of the late Lucy Dicks (nee Ricketts) announces her peaceful passing on Wednesday August 31, at Dr. Charles L Legrow Health Center at the age of 96 years. Born in Port aux Basques, Lucy was the daughter of the late Alfred and Margaret Ricketts. She was also predeceased by her husband John Dicks, daughter Jean (Leslie) Osmond, son Wilfred Ricketts, daughter in law Patricia Dicks, many brothers and sisters in law. She leaves to mourn with many fond and loving memories her children; Gordon (Susan) Dicks, Cora (George) Lawrence, Ray Dicks (Audrey) all of Port aux Basques, Juanita Gearin Mount Pearl NL, Marjorie (Stanley) Seaward Cape Ray, Esther Dicks (Garland), Robert (Debbie) Dicks all of Port aux Basques, Susan (Brian) Ingram Burgeo NL, Claude (Lori) Dicks Port aux Basques. 18 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren, 4 great, great grandchildren, step daughter Florence (Charles) Riddell Moose Jaw Saskatchewan, brother James Ricketts, daughter in law Eileen Ricketts all of Port aux Basques and a large circle of nieces, nephews and many friends. Visitation taking place on Thursday and Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at East Haven Funeral Home Inc. Funeral services taking place on Saturday September 3, 2 pm at St. James Anglican Church, Channel, officiated by Rev. Marlene Harvey.
