She was also predeceased by her husband; Murdock AuCoin of 47 years; brother; Wilfred (Caroline) Ryan, Ambrose (Bride) Ryan, Mike Ryan; sister in-law, Shirley Ryan; brother in-laws, Herbert Penny and William Barry.
Lucy leaves to mourn her loving family, her companion Don, children; Wade (Lisa) of Edmonton, AB, Grace (Stewart) of Searston, Kirk (Colleen) of Woodville, Faye (Dwayne) of Searston, Marlene (Greg) of Halifax, NS and foster child Peter Rossister of O'Regan's; grandchildren, Shannon (Beau), Jeremy (Rachelle), Bradley (Carly), Brandon, Noah, Jamie (Deanne), Joshua (Kiley), Jonathon (Darian), Roberta (Stephen), Desiree, Donovan (Daphne), Jasmine (Tyler), Isaiah, Donald, James, Damien (Bailey), Chase; great grandchildren, Tristan, Brielle, Malia, Cheyann (Conner), Corbin, Skyler, Lexi, Landon; brothers and sisters, Edward, Agnes, Wilhelmia, Joachin (Marcella), Bridget (Archie) and a large circle of nieces, nephews and friends.
Lucy was a strong independent woman with a heart of gold. She was a trusting, kind, stubborn person who always believed the best in anyone and everyone, and had no hesitation in taking in anyone who needed help. She would put a roof over their head, feed them, cloth them and then very shortly after put them to work. She just truly believed that if you give people a chance you would be rewarded, not that she was ever looking for a reward. She never bragged about her success or accomplishments. Most of her stories she told were meant to make you laugh, and to bring a smile to your face. She just loved to be around people to talk and interact. She could talk all day to anyone whether someone she's known for years or a complete stranger. It's one of the reasons she loved to go to events such as cards and darts, not for competition but simple to interact with everyone. As much as she loved interacting with people there was nothing more in this world that she loved then her family, whether it would be a shoulder to cry on, an ear to listen, a helping hand or simply a much needed kick in the arse. She had no problems with any of them, especially that last one.
