It is with great sadness and heavy hearts, that we, the family of Louis Maxwell Lawrence, announce his passing on Friday, December 5, 2025 at the age of 66 years.

He leaves to mourn his wife Anne; children, Matthew (Sierra) and Stephanie; his grandchildren, Caleb, Thoran, and Daxton; his mother, Claudia; sister, Beverly (Jerome); brother, Duane; as well as his sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

He was predeceased by his father, Louis Sr; mother and father in-law, Gertrude and James Steele.

Growing up in Port Aux Basques, Newfoundland, Louis was an avid hockey player, he later became a volunteer coach and director with the P.A.B Minor Hockey League. He loved working with these children and devoted many hours to ensure each child had a great experience. He gave his time and energy to help friends and family wherever possible. His greatest pride and joy though was his family. Spending time with his 2 beautiful children, taking them on many hockey road trips and camping trips. He has been heard to say "you have never watched a hockey game until you have seen your own kid play" and "whatever is worth doing, is worth doing well." In his last few years Louis got to spend time with his precious grandsons and they always brought joy to his heart. He often asked, "are you picking the boys up today."
