On Wednesday April 1, 2020 our hearts were broken and our lives changed forever as our mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great, great grandmother and friend Lillian Phyllis Strickland (nee Dominix) passed away at Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital in Stephenville at the age of 89 years just a few weeks shy of her 90 ^th birthday.

Lillian was born in Anderson's Cove, Fortune Bay and was the last surviving member of her family. She was the daughter of the late Anthony and Emily Dominix (nee Hardiman). She was also predeceased by her husband James (Jim) Strickland in 1999, in laws Curtis and Jemima Strickland, son Garland, daughter Marion Kinslow, and siblings; Gladys, George, Julia, Leo and Jim. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her sons; Isreal (Roberta), Eli (Marcella), Curtis (Kimberley), daughter Trudy (Stephen Lomond), daughter in law Vivian Strickland, son in law Raymond Kinslow, sister in law Liz Dominix. Grandchildren; Shannon (Stacie), Sonja, Anthony (Jennifer), Rowena, Jimmie (Raylene), Jason (Leann), Neil (Kelly), Andrew, Corey (Leona), Stephanie (Draper), Melissa, Mackenzie and Alyssa. Great grandchildren; Seth, Cameron, Jhoni, Mya, Ivy, Samantha, Leo, Mackenzie, Jarred, Ava, Dillon, Kearsten, Shycia, Brady, Lateshia, Clare, Keegan, Thomas, great, great grandson Daeson and a large circle of nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends including those from the Senior's Club.

Do to the current public health advisory of COVID-19, there will be a private family viewing at East Haven Funeral Home which will be followed by a private family graveside service on Sunday April 5, 2 pm at St. James Anglican Cemetery, Barachois Hill, officiated by Rev. Jane Allen. In Lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Lillian can be made to the charity of one's choice.
