On Saturday May 3, 2020 our hearts were broken and our lives changed forever as our beloved husband, father, brother, son, son in law uncle and friend Lewis Hatcher passed away peacefully at home with his wife and son at his side at the age of 59 years. Lewis was predeceased by his father Thomas Hatcher.

Leaving to mourn with many fond and loving memories his devoted wife Sarah (nee Dicks) of 30 years, his pride and joy their only son Dalton Hatcher, his mother Lillian Hatcher of Port aux Basques, sister Eileen (Robert) Bowridge of Stephenville NL, brother Allan (Sandra) Hatcher of Carbonear NL. He will also be fondly remembered by his mother and father in law Gordon and Susan Dicks, sister in law Peggy (Freddy) McNeil all of Port aux Basques, brother in law Gordon (Lori) Dicks of Hanwell NB and a large circle of nieces, nephews and many friends.

Lewis was a man of very few words and quiet by nature, he was a hard worker and gave everything his all no matter what he had to do. He always had a very good sense of humor and spent countless hours making his family and friends laugh while he kept his straight face at all costs, but delighted in knowing he made you laugh. His dog Alaska was his pal and they spent many hours together combing the shorelines and hiking many trails, always in search of a new adventure. His kind and calm personality will be sadly missed by his family and friends and all who were blessed to have known him. In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place. Their will be no formal service or visitation just the way that Lew had wanted it to be. Donations in memory of Lewis can be made to the ALS Society of Newfoundland.
