Julia Malida
Osmond
Jun 1, 1947 — Apr 14, 2025
It is with profound sadness that the family of the late Julia Malida Osmond announces her peaceful passing, on April 14th at the Dr. Charles L. Legrow Health Centre, at the age of 77 with her loving family by her side. Born in Port-aux-Basques, Julia was the daughter of the late Ernest Keeping and Edith Bateman. She is also predeceased by her husband Donald.
Julia leaves behind, with fond and loving memories, her children Todd (Michelle), Rhodena (Jason) and Randy (Marina). Julia also leaves behind her precious granddaughters Danica and Shania (Randy), Olivia (Todd) and Hillary (Rhodena); her great grandchildren Bay Jordan (Danica), as well as Cooper and Millie (Shania). The family wish to acknowledge the fond relationship with the extended Osmond and Pike families. Through past and present there are so many wonderful memories for all of us.
Our mother was the most selfless person we have ever known. Her unconditional love and acceptance for others was her greatest gift. She cherished her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Videoconferencing with family members around the country was one of her favourite activities. It was often the highlight of her day. Her passion for God and Church was well known by everyone. She enjoyed her many friendships including members of the ACW, her Card Club, Prayer Group and not to forget her neighbourhood friends who she loved like family. The front door was always open at Judy's house and everyone was welcomed. You felt loved, appreciated and most importantly accepted. She was a beautiful soul and we will miss her dearly.
Family and friends are welcome to visit Friday April 18th, from 2-5 PM at East Haven Funeral Home, 57 Grand Bay Rd. Port aux Basques. A funeral service will take place on Monday April 21st, at 2:00 PM, at St. James Anglican Church, officiated by Rev. Jane Allen with interment to follow at St. James Cemetery. Flowers are graciously accepted and donations can be made, in Julia's memory, to a charity of one's choice.
