It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of the late Josephine Melita Hardy (nee Clarke) announce her peaceful passing at the Western Long Term Care Home in Corner Brook, NL at the age of 95 years. Born in Harbour Le Cou, NL, Melita was the daughter of the late John and Abigal Clarke (nee Edwards). She was also predeceased by her husband; William Hardy, brothers; Russell (Edith), Henry (Louise), Keltie, George (Vera), Bert (Mary), sisters; Mamie (Arthur), Theresa (Tom), Maud (Simeon), Jane (Reg), son-in-law; Conrad Hiscock, father and mother-in-law; John and Charlotte Hardy, sisters-in-law; Maude, Martha, Gladys, Mary, Ester, Clara, and brothers-in-law; John, Kim, Edwin, Wilson.

Melita leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her loving children; Edna Hiscock of Corner Brook, NL, Arthur (Dallas) Hardy, Robert (Elizabeth) Hardy of Port aux Basques, NL, eight grandchildren; Andrea Lewell of Dartmouth, NS, Connie Dolomount of Corner Brook, NL, Wendy Archambault of Albert, Christopher Hardy, Michelle (Harry) Hardy, Paul Hardy all of Port aux Basques, NL, Jason (Robbie) Fraser of Ontario, Joy Bragg of Nova Scotia, ten great-grandchildren; Tara Lewell, James Lewell, Melanie Lewell, Andrew Dolomount, Matthew Dolomount, Harry Osmond, Jake Osmond, Sophie Osmond, Kaitlyn Bragg, and Becky Bragg. Melita also leaves behind her brother; Gerald (Margaret) Clarke of British Columbia, plus a large circle of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Visitation will take place on Wednesday, Ju ne 30 ^th from 2: 00 p.m. to 4: 00 p.m and 7: 00 p.m to 9: 00 p.m at East Haven Funeral Home Inc., 57 Grand Bay Road, Port aux Basques. The f uneral service will be held on Thursday, July 1 ^st , at 2 : 00 p.m . from St. James Anglican Church, Channel-Port aux Basques officiated by Rev. Jane Allen . Interment to follow at St. James Anglican Cemetery, Barachois Hill, TCH, NL. In lieu of flowers, donations in Melita's memory can be made to the St. James Anglican Church Building Fund .
