It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of the late Joan Marie MacIsaac (nee Young) announces her sudden passing at her residence in Doyles on Sunday, December 15 ^th , 2019 at the age of 77 years. Born in Piccadilly, NL, Joan was the daughter of the late Norman Young and Margaret Strickland. She was also predeceased by her husband Gordon MacIsaac in 2011; father and mother-in-law John and Alice MacIsaac (nee Edmunds); baby boy Gerard MacIsaac; granddaughter Valerie Battiste; brothers-in-law Ambrose MacIsaac, Eddie MacIsaac, Paul MacDonald, Michael (Ellie) MacIsaac, Allan English; sisters-in-law Rita (Les) Pinhorn, Stella (William) Sutton and Roseana MacIsaac.

Leaving to mourn with fond and precious memories her loving daughters Alice (John) English, Valerie (Dennis) Battiste both of Doyles, NL, Nicole (Charles) Bourne of Winnipeg, MB; sons Gordon MacIsaac, Norman MacIsaac both of Doyles, NL and Tommy (Donna) MacIsaac of Ontario; fourteen grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; brothers Melvin (Cathy) MacIsaac of Doyles, NL, Albin (Cora) MacIsaac of Great Codroy, NL, Ambrose MacIsaac, Louis MacIsaac both of Ontario, Roddie (Colleen) MacIsaac of Cape Breton, NS, Roddie (Debbie) Young of Truro, NS; sisters Evelyn MacDonald, Donna (Paul) Chaffey, Shirley (Mike) Grant, Jeannette MacIsaac all of Labrador, Ann MacIsaac of Ontario; sisters-in-law Marjorie English, Hilda MacIsaac both of Doyles, NL. Joan also leaves behind special friend Hannah Russell and caregivers Doreen McDougall and Elizabeth Lomond.

The family would like to thank the Dialysis unit in Port aux Basques for the care of Joan for past eight years.

In keeping with Joan 's wishes, cremation has taken place. A graveside memorial service will be held on Wednesday, December 18 ^th at 11 am officiated by Father Lee Lainey at the Mount St. Thomas Roman Catholic Cemetery, Great Codroy, NL. In lieu of flowers, donations in Joan's memory can be made to the charity of one's choice.
