It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother Joan Olive Jeans Joyce (nee Marshall) at the Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre in Port aux Basques, NL on Thursday, December 30 ^th , 2021 at the age of 87 years. Born in Port aux Basques, NL, Joan was the daughter of the late Norman and Evangeline Marshall (nee Kettle). She was also predeceased by her first husband; Vernon Jeans, second husband; Bryce Joyce, brother; Stanley Marshall, brothers and sisters-in-law; Lillian Marshall (nee Jeans), Leona Marshall (nee Squarey), Vector, Vera, Ada, Ruth, and Bob Jeans.

Joan leaves to mourn with fond and precious memories her loving children; Ronald Jeans, Vernon (Nancy) Jeans, grandchildren; Daniel, Codi, Ryan, Christine, Mitchel, great-grandchildren; Zakk, Seth, Aiden, Claire, brothers and sisters; Ron, Jack, Norma (Peter) Phelps, Grace (Joe) Jeans, plus a large circle of extended Joyce family. Joan will also remain in the hearts of her aunt; Viola Roberts, her special friends; Margaret Aylward, Evelyn Kettle, Joyce and Cecil Marsden, plus a large circle of nieces, nephews and friends.

In keeping with Joan's wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation will be on Sunday, January 2 ^nd , 2022 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at East Haven Funeral Home Inc., 57 Grand Bay Road, Port aux Basques. The funeral service will be held on Monday, January 3 ^rd , 2022 a t 2 p.m. from East Haven Funeral Home Inc., 57 Grand Bay Road, Port aux Basques officiated by Rev. Fay Coffin. Interment will follow at St. James Anglican Cemetery, Barachois Hill. Due to the latest Government regulations your Newfoundland VaxPass, photo ID and masks are required for entry to the visitation and church service. Flowers are graciously accepted and donations in Joan's memory may be made to the Dr. Charles LeGrow Long Term Care Unit.
