It is with great sadness that the family of the late J ames William Anderson announces his passing on Friday September 23 ^rd , 2022 at Dr. Charles L. LeG row Health Centre in Port aux Basques at the age of 73 years. Born at Port aux Basques NL, J ames was the son of the late John and Eva An derson (nee Buffet ). He was also predeceased by his father and mother in-law; John and Harriett Hardy, his in-laws; George (Kay) Hardy, Reg Hardy, John (Sarah) Skinner , Minter Caines and Sydney Chaulk.

He leaves to mourn with fond and precious memories his loving wife of 51 years; Diane (nee Hardy) his children; Heidi (Sheldon) Street of Port aux Basques and Jamie (Sharlee) Anderson of Red Deer, Alberta, grandchildren; Colby, William, Shelbie, Jagger, Hayze and Maveryk.

Jim also leaves behind his sisters; Sylvia (Albert) Osmond of Port aux Basques, NL, Jane (Gord) Lawrence of Gander, NL, Diane Anderson of Vancouver, BC and Linda (Don) Eustace of Port aux Basques, NL, sisters in-law; Myrtle Chaulk of Burnt Islands , NL, Hilda Caines of Port aux Basques, NL , Sandra Hardy of St Johns, NL and Raylene Sheaves (Wayne) of Port aux Basques, NL, brother in-law; Bill (Mary) Caines of Burnt Islands, NL, his fur baby; Gracie plus a large circle of nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.

In keeping with Jim's wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held on Wednes day from 1 to 3 pm at East Haven Funeral Home, Port aux Basques, followed by a service officiated by Rev. Pat Ritchie with internment at a later date. F lowers are graciously accepted, donations in James' memory can be made to a charity of ones choice.
