It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of the late Ivan James announce his peaceful passing at the Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre in Port aux Basques, NL, with his daughter and grand daughter by his side, on Friday, March 3 ^rd , 2023 at the age of 87 years. Born in Parsons Harbour, NL, Ivan was the son of the late John and Emily James (nee Miles). He was also predeceased by his wife, Shirley (nee Durnford); his daughter; Darlene Pink; brothers, Robert James, Edgar (Gerine) James, Gordon (Pearl) James; sisters, Hazel (Henry) Skinner, Debbie ( Victor ) Peters ; sisters in-law, Maggie Durnford, Juanita (Ben Thorne) Francis Durnford, nephews. Keith and Gary Skinner.

Ivan leaves behind to mourn with fond and loving memories h is daughter; Paulette (Wayne) McNeil of Port aux Basques, NL, grandchildren; Ashley (Timmy) White and Candace White both of Port aux Basques, NL, two great-granddaughters; Emily and Julia. Ivan also leaves behi nd sister-in-law; Lena James of Antigonish, NS, Brother in-Law; Newman Durnford of St. Johns, Grandson Matthew Osmond. P lus a large circle of extended family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 4 ^th from 7-9 p.m. at East Haven Funeral Home Inc., 57 Grand Bay Road, Port aux Basques. The funeral service will be held o n March 5 ^th , at 2 pm. from St. James Anglican Church, Channel-Port aux Basques officiated by Rev. Jane Allen. Interment to follow at St. James Anglican Cemetery, Barachois Hill, TCH, NL. Flowers are graciously accepted or donations in Ivan' s memory can be made to the St. James Anglican Church Fund or the St. James Anglican Cemetery Fund.
