It is with great sadness that the family of the late Hazel Blanche King (nee Herritt) announces her passing on Friday October 28 at Dr. Charles L Legrow Health Center at the age of 81 years. Hazel was born in Burnt Islands and was the daughter of the late Thomas and Elsie Herritt. She was also predeceased by her husband Minta King, sisters; Eva, Susie and Irene, brothers; Phil, Wendell and Isaac. Mother and father in law Mary and Charles King, sisters in law; Sylvia Hardy, Jane Holly, Susie Dyke,, brother in law Walter King. She leaves to mourn with many fond and loving memories her children Calvin King (Josie) Alberta, Marilyn (Pearce) Lorne Cape Ray with whom Hazel Resided. Grandchildren; Karen (Scott), Jamie (Holly), Stephen, Lorna (Troy), Jodilynn (Jon), great grandchildren; Hunter, Erica, Tanner, Sarah, Ryder. She will also be sadly missed by her brothers and sisters; Tom (Shirley) Herritt, James Herritt, Clarissa (Alan) Porter, Ephraim (Eileen) Herritt, Ruth (Gerald) Wells, Christina (Bob) MacDonald, John Herritt and her home care providers Sylvia Pearce and Mary Ellen Seaward. To honour Hazel's wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no formal visitation. The interment will take place at Hillside Haven Cemetery, Isle aux Morts road at a later date.
