It is with great sadness that the family of the late Hazel Kettle (nee Buttery) announces her passing on Monday, August 9 ^th , 2021 at the Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre in Port aux Basques, NL at the age of 93 years. Born in Port aux Basques, NL, Hazel was the daughter of the late John and Alice Buttery (nee Poole). She was also predeceased by her husband Oscar Kettle; long time companion Harry Lafosse; father and mother-in-law William James and Beatrice Kettle (nee LeRiche); son Charlie Matthews; son-in-law Wilson White; great-grandchildren Jill, Adam; brothers Walter (Elizabeth) Buttery, Jack (Jane) Buttery, Albert (Hannah) Buttery; sisters Sadie (John) Hardy, Alice (Arthur) Kettle, Rose (Cecil) White, Margaret Buttery, Dolly (Wilson) Kettle, Maude (Thomas) Matthews, Pearl Buttery; brothers and sisters-in-law Cyril (Olive) Kettle, Harold (Dorthy) Kettle, Walter (Ruth) Kettle, Arthur (Jean) Kettle, Amelia (Jim) Bird, Betty (Jim) Bonner, Rita (John) Collins and Bertram (Bert) Kettle.

She leaves to mourn with many special memories her loving daughter Bernice White; son Junior (Wanda) Kettle both of Port aux Basques, NL; grandchildren Trevor (Elaine) Mauger, Glenn (Cathy) Mauger both of Port aux Basques, NL, Michael Kettle (Jody Howlett) of Paradise, NL, Craig Matthews of Calgary, AB; great-grandchildren Hunter Kettle, Ashton Kettle, Jax Howlett, Kade Howlett, Travis Mauger, Dylan Matthews, Brianna Matthews; great-great-grandchild Connor Matthews. Sophia Matthews. Hazel also leaves behind daughter-in-law Pauline (Tom Lawrence) Matthews; sister-in-law Jean Kettle both of Port aux Basques, NL plus a large circle of nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.

Visitation taking place on Tuesday August 10th from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at East Haven Funeral Home Inc. Funeral services taking place on Wednesday August 11 ^th at 11.00 AM at St. Paul's Anglican Church, Grand Bay officiated by Rev. Faye Coffin, interment to follow at the old St. Paul's Anglican Cemetery, Grand Bay. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Hazel can be made to the St. Paul's Anglican Church Memorial Fund.
