It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of the late Gordon C harles McNeil announces his sudden passing at his residence in Cape Ray on Wednes day, April 17 ^th at the age of 70 years. Born in Port aux Basques , NL. Gordon was the son of the late James (Jim) and Mollie McNeil (nee Battiste). He was also predeceased by h is sister Linda McNeil ; father and mother-in-law Bernard Osmond and Winifred Wall; sister s -in-law Hol l y McNeil, Marjorie Osmond, Rita Janes, Ann Short, Mabel Wall, Winnifred (Ronald) Osmond ; brothers- in-law John Wall , Ivan Wall, Maxwell Pearce, Isaac Osmond , Wallace (Hilda) Wall and Alex Janes .

He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories h is loving wife Marie of 23 years; daughter Amanda McNeil of Port aux Basques, NL; step-children Robert (Marie Rumbolt) Rodgers of Port aux Basques, NL, Eileen (Robert) Kin g of Cold Lake, AB, Corinna (Laura) Rodgers of Moncton, NB, Wanda (Jason) Lillington of Eastern Passage, NS; grandchildren Shannon (Chad) Wall, Dawson, Jake, Jordon, Ameli o (Patricia) King, Devon, Nicolle ; great-grandchildren Shaylene, Faith, Jaxon; brothers John McNeil (Rose Porter ) of Port aux Basques, NL, Lewis (Kathleen) McNeil of Torbay, NL, Wayne (Paulette) McNeil, Donald (Glenda) McNeil both of Port aux Basques, NL; sister Donna (Claude) Bragg of Port aux Basques, NL; sister-in-law Melinda Osmond, Elizabeth Pearce both of Cape Ray, NL , Mildred (Earl) Greene of Gaultois, NL , Dorthy Wall; brothers-in-law Robert Wall and Cecil Short all of Cape Ray, NL plus many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Thursday from 7-9 pm, Friday and Saturday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at East Haven Funeral Home Inc . In keeping with Gordon's wishes cremation will follow. The funeral service will be held on Monday April 22 ^nd at 2 pm from the St. John The Evangelist Church in Cape Ray, NL officiated by Rev. Clayton Billard, interment to follow at St. James Anglican Cemetery, Barachois Hill, TCH, NL . In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family which they will be donated further .
