It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we share the passing of our beloved father, grandfather, and friend, Gordon Leslie Leamon, at Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre on Friday, October 22 nd , 2021 at the age of 78 years. Born in Channel-Port aux Basques, NL, he was the youngest son of the late Charles Sr. and Gladys (nee Bateman) Leamon. He was also predeceased by his brothers and sisters-in-law; Clarence Sr. (Jean) Leamon, Reginald (Phyllis) Leamon, Thomas Leamon, Charles Jr. (Maggie) Leamon, Clifford Bateman, nephew; Michael Leamon, brothers-in-law; William Herritt and Raymond Osmond.

Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of precious and loving memories, his children; Janice Leamon (Daniel Keagan) of Englishtown, NS, Jeramie (Rhonda Yashinskie) Leamon of Petawawa, ON, grandson; Jordan Yashinskie of Petawawa, ON. He will be fondly remembered by his sisters-in-law; Shirley Leamon of Port aux Basques, NL, Marion Osmond of Port aux Basques, NL, Betty Herritt of St. John's, NL, and brother-in-law; Ernest (Madeline) Herritt of Sandyville, NL, plus a large circle of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Over the years he chauffeured for many organizations in the community which he thoroughly enjoyed. When he wasn't working or bus driving he was volunteering at the Port aux Basques Kinsman Club where he was granted a lifetime membership for his years of service. Gord was also an avid motorcyclist who took part in the ride for sight for many years as a participant and fundraiser. He touched many people with his humor and quick wit; whether it was telling a joke, a story, pulling a prank or having a good game of crib.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Dr. Thomas, the nurses and staff at the Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre for their support, compassion, and attention shown to Gord during his stay. As well, thank you to our Mom, Thelma; for her guidance, and assistance throughout Dad's illness. We also acknowledge East Haven Funeral Home Inc. for all their help during this difficult time.

" May the road rise up to meet you,
May
the wind be always at your back,
May the sun shine warm upon your face;
The rains fall soft upon your fields and,
Until we meet again, May God hold you
In the palm of his hand."
