It is with great sadness the family of the late Gordon James Hibbs announce his peaceful passing with his loving wife by his side at the Dr Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre in Port aux Basques, NL on Friday, January 29 ^th , 2021 at the age of 91 years. Born in St Andrew's, NL, Gordon was the son of the late James and Elizabeth Hibbs (nee Knowling). He was also predeceased by three infant children, grandchild; Jace Daigle, father and mother-in-law; William and Mary Alice Park (nee Anderson), brothers; William (Lorraine) Hibbs, Kenneth Hibbs, Reginald Hibbs, George Hibbs, Samuel (Veronica) Hibbs, sisters: Ethel (Michael) Chaisson, Lucy (Lee) Smith, Anna (Thomas) Lewis, and Marcella Hibbs.

He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his loving wife of 62 years Anne Hibbs (nee Parks), sons; Gordon (Wanda) Hibbs, of Ottawa, Francis (Shelley) Hibbs of Moncton, NB, Christopher (Jayne) Hibbs of Pembroke Ont, daughter; Patricia Mary (Barry) Finney of Lower Sackville, NS, sister; Susan (John) Lowther, Ontario, sisters-in-law; Christina Hibbs of Stephenville, Sheila Hibbs of Upper Ferry, and Elizabeth Hickey of Courtney, BC.

Gordon also leaves behind his grandchildren; Anthony of Grand Étang, NS, Austin, Alysha both of Moncton, NB, Brandy Anne of Ottawa, great-grandchildren; James Gordon, Rhea, Gordon William, Bryce, Bailey, Theo Daigle, special nephew; Richard (Judy) Chaisson, caregivers; Alishia Benoit and Dianna Dodge, plus a large circle of nieces, nephews extended family and friends.

In keeping with Gordon's wishes, cremation has taken place. The Mass of Christian Burial will take place Tuesday, February 2 ^nd , 2021 at Precious Blood Roman Catholic Church at 2 pm in St Andrew's, NL officiated by Father Andrew White. Interment to follow at Precious Blood Roman Catholic Cemetery in St Andrews. Flowers are graciously accepted or donations in Gordon's memory can be made to the charity of one's choice.
