It is with great sadness that the family of the late Gloria Leamon (nee Mauger) announces her passing on Sunday, July 26, 2026, at the Dr. Charles L. Legrow Health Centre at the age of 64 years. Gloria was predeceased by her loving husband of 30 years, Gerald William Leamon; her mother Marjorie Mauger; sister-in-law Violetta (Herold) Savoury; good friends Mary Ellen Sheaves, Melita Hatcher.

She will be deeply missed by her children: Michael Leamon of Isle aux Morts, and Chauntelle Leamon (Matt) of Fort St. John, BC. She also leaves to mourn with many fond and precious memories her pride and joy, her grandchildren: Jake, Kolten, and Noah.

She will also be fondly remembered by her brothers and sisters: Brian (Eva) Mauger of Burnt Islands, Joshua (Cecilia) Mauger of Stoney Creek, ON, and Gertie (George) Lawrence of Port aux Basques. She is also survived by a large circle of nieces, nephews, in-laws and her best friends, Denise Skinner, Lydia Francis, Pam Mauger, and Shelia Skinner, and so many more that are to many to mention.

The family would like to send a special thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff at the Dr. Charles L LeGrow Health Centre for the care and compassion given to their mother over the last little while.

Gloria’s children were her greatest joy in life. Her home was a safe haven for all, with a door that was always open and a house routinely filled with her children’s friends, especially her bonus daughter Samantha. She found great happiness in playing cards, Bingo, and dearly loved a good game of darts. Known for her fantastic sense of humor, she was always so funny and an absolute riot to everyone who knew her.

Family and friends are welcome to visit at Holy Spirit Church in Isle aux Morts on Tuesday, July 28th from 2-4 and 7-9 PM and Wednesday, July 29th from 2-4 PM. Cremation will follow, and a private graveside will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Gloria's memory can be made to the Dr. Charles L LeGrow Health Foundation towards the fundraising of a CT scanner.   Arrangements are under the care of East Haven Funeral Home Inc. at 57 Grand Bay Road, Channel-Port aux Basques.
