It is with broken hearts that we share the unexpected passing of Gloria Bond (Bennett) on Sunday, October 15th, 2023, age 77, at the Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre, in Channel-Port aux Basques. Gloria was the daughter of late James and Winnifred Bennett. She was also predeceased by her children, Shawn and Michelle; sister, Elizabeth "Betty" Horne; brother's in-law, Clarence Horne, Raymond Bird and Robert Bond.

Gloria leaves to mourn her loving husband Yvon of 49 years; her daughter, Natasha (Sherman); her grandchildren, who were her pride and joy, Kiara (Brandon), Kyle (Haleigh) and Makenna; brother, Walter "Bud" (Linda); sister's, Carrie (Frank) and Francis; as well as large circle of nieces, nephews, extended family and wonderful friends.

Gloria was one of a kind. She was generous, outgoing and fun. She loved to socialize, play bingo and go to her card club on Sunday nights. She enjoyed traveling with her family to Gaspe, Quebec and Nova Scotia to visit Natasha, Sherman and her grandchildren. Her generous nature made a huge impact on all those she met.

There will be a private visitation for family only on Wednesday, October 18th, 2023 from 2-4 PM. Visitation for friends will be on October 18th, 2023 from 7-9 PM, October 19th, 2023 from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM at East Haven Funeral Home Inc, 57 Grand Bay Road, Port aux Basques, NL. The funeral service will take place on Friday, October 20th, 2023 at 2 PM at St. James Anglican Church officiated by Rev. Jane Allen. Internment to follow at St. James Anglican Cemetery, Barachois Hill.
