On Wednesday, September 30 ^th , 2020 our hearts were broken and lives were forever changed when we the family of the late George Seaward announces his sudden passing at the Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre in Port aux Basques at the age of 66 years. Born in Port aux Basques, NL, He was the son of the late Thomas and Cora Seaward (nee Hardy). He was also predeceased by his father and mother-in-law; Heber and Pearl Parsons (nee Drake), brothers; Brian Seaward, Thomas Seaward, Alex Seaward, sisters; Connie Seaward, and Sadie Seaward.

He leaves to mourn with a lifetime of fond and loving memories his loving wife of 42 years Joyce Seaward (nee Parsons). He was also leaves behind his son; Jamie Seaward (Nadine Bragg) of Happy Valley-Goose Bay, Labrador, step-son; Jason Way of Didsbury, AB, step-grandsons Dawsons Way, Colton Way, brothers; William (Louise) Seaward, Harrison (Pauline) Seaward both of Port aux Basques, NL, Ross (Audrey) Seaward of St. John's, NL, Dave (Laura) Seaward of Sydney Mines, NS, sisters; Doreen (David) Halfyard of St. John's, NL, Linda (Dennis) Organ of St. Catharines, ON, Betty (Werner) Roloff of Gokels, Germany, brothers-in-law; Dean (Nora) Parsons of Holyrood, NL, Melvin (Mary) Parsons of St. John's, NL, and sister-in-law; Mary Seaward of Port aux Basques, NL.

George was an avid hunter and fisherman who loved spending time back in the country with his friends; enjoying his time in the great outdoors. He will be forever missed by his special friends Wayne Allen, Robert Hardy and Wayne Osmond plus a large circle of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Visitation will take place on Friday, October 2 ^nd from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at East Haven Funeral Home Inc. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 3 ^rd , at 2 pm at Wesley United Church, Channel-Port aux Basques officiated by Joan Chaisson, interment will follow at Wesley United Cemetery, Trans Canada Highway. Flowers are graciously accepted or donations in memory of George can be made to the Wesley United Church.
