It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of late Frederick Buttery announce his peaceful passing at Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre (long Term Care) in Port aux Basques, NL on Thursday July 20th, 2023 at the age of 91 years. Born in Port aux Basques, Newfoundland. Frederick was the son of late Albert and Hannah Buttery. He was also predeceased by his wife, Jessie Buttery (Nee Anderson); son, Terry; daughter, Helen; brother's, Richard, Clyde and James (Ada); sister's, Mary (Hughie) Osmond, Annie (Norris) Cousins; brother's in-law, Thomas Francis and Charlie (Lorena) Anderson and Jack (Geraldine) Anderson; sister in-law, Nora Anderson; father and mother in-law, John and Emmaline (Nee Green).
With precious memories he leaves to mourn; his children, Phyllis (William) Savery, Ken Buttery (Jackie Keeping), Darlene (John) Keeping and Monica (Brent) Carroll; son in law Lloyd Burridge, grandchildren, Samatha, Krista, Heather, Paul and Natasha; great grandchildren, Marissa, Kiersten, Bria, Karya, Mya, Wyatt, Kaleb and Meika; sister, Betty Francis; brother in-law, Corwin Anderson; sister's in-law, Winnie Buttery and Mary Buttery; plus a large circle of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Visitation will take place on Saturday, July 22nd, 2023 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at East Haven Funeral Home, 57 Grand Bay Road, Port aux Basques. The funeral service will take place on Sunday, July 23rd, 2023 at 2pm from St. Paul's Anglican Church, officiated by Rev. Faye Coffin. Interment to follow at St. Paul's Anglican Cemetery. Donation's in Frederick's memory can be made to a charity of one's choice, and flower's are graciously accepted.
