Francis "Frank"
Moore
Jan 21, 1932 — Dec 2, 2025
On December 2nd, 2025, Francis "Frank" Moore entered his eternal rest, passing peacefully
with his devoted wife, Noreen, his daughter Karen, and son-in-law Steve at his side. He is now
reunited with his firstborn, Debra Chafe, who lovingly welcomed him home.
He leaves to mourn his beloved wife of 63 years, Noreen, his children David Moore (Cheryl),
Karen Downey (Steve), Keith Moore (Heather), and son-in-law Wade Chafe, along with his
grandchildren Mark, Bethany (Chad), Stacy, Alexxa, Amy (Kaleb), Erin, Sarah, and Paul. His
great-grandson Jackson—who held a special place in Poppy's heart—will deeply miss his
treasured "Poppy Moore" hugs.
Frank also leaves behind his brothers, Eli Anderson and Ronnie Anderson; his in-laws, Mary
Moore, Helen Anderson, and Geoffrey Coles; and many loving nephews and nieces,
great-nephews and nieces, and great-great-nephews and nieces.
He was predeceased by his mother and father, Gertrude and Alexander Moore, and by his
siblings Dave Moore (Dorothy), Tom Moore (Violet Pippy), Winnifred Harris, Louise McInnis
(Sterling), Margaret O'Regan (Gus), Mike Moore, Gertrude Johnson (John), Marie Coles, and
Leonard Anderson.
Frank was blessed with 93 healthy years, many of which were spent in Codroy raising his family,
fishing, and serving his community through the Codroy Fisherman's Committee. In retirement,
he settled in Millville, where he found joy in his gardens and greenhouses during the summer
months and in crafting fine wooden décor in his workshop through the winter.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to the staff of the Dr. Charles L. Legrow Health Centre and
the Bay St. George Long Term Care Home for the compassion and comfort they provided during
his final ten weeks.
Family and friends are welcome to attend the wake service at St. Ann's Parish in Upper Ferry on
Monday, December 8th from 7:30–9:00 p.m. The funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday,
December 9th at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to your preferred cancer
association in the name of Debra Chafe. 💗
Special Note from Jackson:
We all love him so much in our hearts. Sending love to all of our family up in heaven and down
here on earth and we will all have a great life but we will always know that he will have a better
life up there because he will get to see his long lost family like his mother, his father, his brothers
and sisters, and Nanny Moore's brother and sisters, and Aunt Debbie.
And please say hi to Poppy Bob for me.
Funeral arrangements were in the care of East Haven Funeral Home Inc, 57 Grand Bay Road, Port aux Basques, NL. info@easthavenfuneralhome.com (709)-695-2300 www.easthavenfuneralhome.com
