It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of the late Frances Herritt announces her passing on Friday May 19th, 2023 at the Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre at the age of 84 years. Born in Burnt Islands, Frances was the daughter of late Stanley and Winfred Throne (Nee Marsden). She was also predeceased by her husband; Jabez Herritt of 64 years; father and mother in-law, John and Sarah Herritt, brothers; George (Harriett), Wilson (Mary), Simon (Bertha); brother in-law, Wilson Walters, sister in-laws Geraldine Keeping and Hannah Jane Morey.

Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of precious memories, her daughter; Selma (Gerald) Neil, son; Corey (Bonita) Herritt all of Burnt Islands; grandchildren, Wade (Danielle), Gerard, Brandon, Tori and Tyler; great-grandchildren, Dannie, Reagan and Maddie; sister, Jessie Walters and a large circle of nieces, nephews and many friends.

Special thanks to the staff of Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre for their care and compassion, and her wonderful caregivers during the last several years. Also, sincere gratitude to nieces Nancy Taylor and Grace Francis who stayed by her side during her final days.  Visitation will take place on Saturday, May 20th, 2023 from 7-9 PM, Sunday, May 21st, 2023 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at St. George's Anglican Church in Burnt Islands. Funeral service will take place Monday, May 22nd, 2023 at 11:00 AM officiated by Rev. Diana Fry, interment to follow at Hillside Haven Cemetery, Isle aux Morts Road.
